Salt Water Beaches

Plymouth Beach
Route 3A about 2.5 miles south from Plymouth Center, on Plymouth Bay.
Three miles of beach can be accessed by foot.
Open dawn to dusk. Rest rooms.
Lifeguard on duty 9:00 - 5:00 weekends from Memorial Day to June 18, and daily June 18 through Labor Day. Parking: $10. weekdays, $15. weekends, and free to residents with Town Beach Sticker.

Plymouth Long Beach
Route 3A about 2.5 miles south from Plymouth Center, on Plymouth Bay.
(Entrance at northern end of parking lot for Plymouth Beach.)
Only 4-wheel drive vehicles permitted. Access limited to residents with Special 4X4 Beach Sticker. No lifeguard on duty. Closed during the nesting season of the endangered Piping Plover.

Stephens Field
132R Sandwich Street.
Beach on Plymouth Harbor. Seven acre park includes softball field, four tennis courts, picnic tables, restrooms. No lifeguard on duty. Free parking.

White Horse Beach
Taylor Avenue in Manomet section of Plymouth.
12+ acres of beach on Plymouth Bay. Lifeguard on duty 9:00 - 5:00, weekends from Memorial Day to June 18, and daily June 18 through August 26.  Very limited free parking. Public beach at south end.

Nelson Street Recreation Area
Corner of Nelson and Water Streets in downtown Plymouth.
Beautiful scenic view of Plymouth Harbor. Sandy beach but no swimming. Picnic tables, large play structure area, multi-use field, restrooms. Free parking.


Fresh Water Beaches

College Pond
Located in Myles Standish State Forest. The park's main entrance is on Cranberry Road in Carver. The east entrance is on Long Pond Road in Plymouth. (click here for map)

Lifeguard on duty 9:30 - 6:00, mid-June through Labor Day.

Fresh Pond
220 Bartlett Road in the Manomet section of Plymouth.
Open dawn to dusk. Lifeguard on duty 9:00 - 5:00, weekends from Memorial Day to June 18, and daily June 18 through August 26. Free parking.

Morton Park
Summer Street (main entrance) Billington street (rear entrance).
Plymouth's largest park with 200 acres of forest and shoreline on Little Pond and Billington Sea. Swimming beaches, picnic areas, two and a half miles of footpaths, and restrooms.
Lifeguard on duty 9:00 - 5:00, weekends from Memorial Day to June 18, and daily June 18 through Labor Day. Parking: $10. weekdays, $15. weekends, and free to residents with Beach Sticker
